Addresses and Books of the President of Kazakhstan

The Kazakh folk proverb «Nothing is more remote as yesterday, nothing is more close than tomorrow» was an introducing phrase of President Nursultan Nazarbaev’s first message to the People of Kazakhstan in 19971. From this time, annually the Leader of the Nation appeals his message to Kazakhstanis by pointing out that for the prosperity and ever growing welfare of our motherland having clear goals for the future is important. These addresses help the citizens to understand that everyone is able to make at least a small contribution for the improvement of the present and future of the country. The fact that the annual addresses take into consideration all the key areas such as industry, engineering, investment, science and health, culture and education allowing to strengthen their development. Focusing on problematic areas helps to understand the weaknesses of the country and give instructions for improvement.
Generally, addressing strategic plans is a widely known phenomenon around the world. However, it should be emphasised that the President Nursultan Nazarbaev is appealing it in its own way. For instance, majority of the heads of the countries address their messages to the governmental executive institutions while the President of Kazakhstan is referring his message directly to the whole nation of Kazakhstan. In such way, he is choosing the democratic way of governing as well as making people to understand that the creation of the developed state depends on each person, citizen of the country (Zhiembay, 2012).
If the addresses are playing its crucial role in building the future, the books written by the President Nursultan Nazarbaev tell the history and achievements of our country. In other words, his books are a way to convey the unique experience of the country's leader, who managed to gain independence for his country, and then pick it up from being in a state of crisis, with high unemployment to a state of stable economy. Given that each family is a small state, his books can be useful not only for politicians, but for a wide range of readers.
